Iceland 2016 – a winter flirt

It’s finally here, the photo report on the short winter trip I did to Iceland in february. I turned it into a slideshow, supported by some nice ambient music (courtesy of Paul Minesweeper). Enjoy the cold winterscapes and icy roads of a warm country. Visited locations include Thingvellir National Park, Gulfoss, Geysir, Seljalandsfoss, Skógafoss, the deserted DC-3 airplane on the black sand beaches of the south coast, Vìk, Reynisfjara, Dyrhólaey…

Tourism has boomed in Iceland, resulting in busloads of people being dropped at popular places. Everybody has the right to visit and explore the most beautiful places in the world. But please respect them and respect nature if you plan on visiting this great country yourself!

Finally, thank you Jos for flight and hotel arrangements. Thank you Willy, Lindsey, Leon, Tine and Lennert for the great company on the road trip. And big kiss to my lovely wife Anneke, for letting me explore!
