Yes, we’ve been to Texel… again. And it won’t be the last time this year either, because I have a wedding to shoot on the Dutch Wadden Sea island in May. I met with them for a small family session with their newly born daughter (results of that may appear later on www.stevengoovaerts.be).
Besides that I went out for a sunset session at the beach and a night trip to shoot a star filled sky. Being an island with lots of nature, Texel is ideal for finding locations without light pollution. This converted sheep stable in the middle of the dunes was an ideal spot. Shot it with the Nikon D800 and AF-S Nikkor 24mm f/1.4G ED lens. Settings are iso 800, f/2, 15 sec… while the stable is lit with two portable head lamps 😉
