Since 2012, I lost my heart on the Dutch Wadden Sea island of Texel. It has everything you want for a holiday destination: nice places to stay, eat and play for your children, exceptional nature, numerous photo opportunities and great people!
Big thanks to local photographer Patrick de Graaf for showing me some of the lesser known spots on the island and for hanging out together at least once every time we visit! And a special mention to Michel Arends for serving us the most delicious meals at Hotel Brasserie Rebecca (moreover, he’s a photographer too!).
Completely different to Texel, but also a sweet spot for seascape photography. I haven’t explored it thoroughly, but it’s not a long drive from Antwerp were I live. Pictures below are mainly from a visit to the Delta Works at Neeltje Jans.
